Anybody know anything about Ford F-250?
This truck is sitting by my place and has peeked my interest. It's got 190K miles on it, but I hear that's no biggy for a desial....

I don't know anything about them, so any info would be helpful.
What should I be aware of? etc?
I'm getting kind of tired of my truck. _________________ Thomas Early |

My 02 F-350 Has 274000 No problems Make sure it has been maintained. The 7.3 is a great motor _________________ Woods riders love trees more than environmentalists. Proof?

The ad says 1 ton which would make it a F350, not a 250 (3/4 ton).
It's the same year, motor, and approximate mileage as Funk's Excursion so you can use that as a comparison. I think it's been a good truck for them. I agree with Ray, if the maintenance is kept up on them, that motor will go for a long time.
Since it's chipped, look for EGT and boost guages. Hopefully it has them, especially the EGT. Excessive heat kills. Ask Kurt how he knows.
Are those aftermarket fender flares hiding some rust? Check under them.
Was it used as a work/plow truck or a commuter/personal vehicle? |

Bring it to ford and have the front end checked, The balljoints usally need to be replaced every 100,000 or less. The front ends take a beating on those trucks due to the Weight. Make sure to have them look it over thoughly. There are several things that can be worn out and you usaully wont know from test driving it.
I have repaired these, thats how i know.
Other than the front end, they are great trucks.
Also don't buy it if it has a Powerprogrammer for increasing the power, the auto transmissions can't handle it. |
