Damn Yankees.
Hope to see some of you guys down here. I rode/worked a lot of the Wudi trails the last few days, and they are looking really good. It was 80 down here today, so down right pleasant. _________________ John Brunsgaard |

Great to see you too, Dave. As well as Al and Dan. Glad we hooked up for a long loop down to Black Mountain. It was a very fun event this year, especially once the weather turned so nice on Fri afternoon. It was in the low 80's yesterday, so almost a little too warm! _________________ John Brunsgaard |

That'd be awesome to see you at next year's Wudi, Kurt. Had a blast riding with you at Talimena a couple of years back. White Rock is not as rocky as Talimena. There's a lot more dirt at WR. Some of the single track trails are just miles of dirt between pines with almost zero rocks. So a good variety. _________________ John Brunsgaard |

I too would like to make it next year and have YOU as a guide then. My first experience there was ALOT of rocks, which is OK to a point, but dirt is more what I'm used to (and like). Of course the year I was there on the second day it snowed and we didn't get to ride at all! Anyway John, glad to here you're keeping up the tradition of trail work, take care.
Tom
Personally, I thought the Train Robbers area was pretty hard to beat! _________________ Tom Bigalke |

Maybe Al, Dan and Dave will chip in here, but we do have a good mix of dirt out there. Of course, there are a lot of rocks in some areas, too. But I tried to put loops together that had a good mixture.
Train Robbers is fun, too. I prefer WR, but maybe because I know the trails better. TR's trails are all getting blown out by the quads, and they seem to be having issues with the land owners on and off. I can ask Jim about having another Wudi there, but it seemed to not be likely the last we discussed it. _________________ John Brunsgaard |

John, ya, I'm thinking you have something there about knowing the area. We rode at Train Robbers a couple times and had pretty good guides besides some arrowing. Only been to WR that one time, we went out with someone who 'kinda' knew the area. So, probally not a fair comparison. Too bad about TR if what you say is true, hate to say it but seems once the ATV's get in an area it causes problems and wrecks things for MC's, an observation! _________________ Tom Bigalke |
