John ,
Just wondering what the dates are for your ride this year , I know it`s 4-4&5 but wondering how early it starts , Wed or Thurs ? Also is it like Theilman or does one need a tour guide , and is there parking for fifth wheel toyhaulers ?
Thanks, Matt |

Hey Matt,
Here's a link that should give you lots of info:
http://z13.invisionfree.com/WUDI/index.php?showforum=8
The riding will start Thursday, as early as you want to ride. Actually, there will be a couple of guys down there all week, so I'm sure they'd show folks around if they showed up even earlier. I'll be there Weds evening. Riding through the weekend.
No, you do not need a guide, per se. No rules say you have to or anything. It's a public riding area. But it's a pretty big area and we do our best to hide the single track from the ATVer's, so the good trails can be hard to find, let alone stringing the sections together to make a good ride. There will not be any arrows up. But since our enduro is the weekend before, many of the trails will be a bit easier to find. I'd suggest going out with a guide at least once or twice to find the trails and then ride on your own, if that's what you'd prefer to do. I'd suggest bringing a GPS and marking where camp is, though.
And not all of our trails are being used for the enduro. So you'd have a really hard time finding those w/o a guide.
EDIT: Sorry, missed your RV question. Yes, we have plenty of room for big rigs. We added 18 new 30 amp pull through sites this year. All have water. And we have a dump station near the entrance. That's in addition to the 36 or so water/elec sites we already had. So there should be plenty for everyone. But the sites that are open are first come, first serve. So if they do fill up, you'll have to park in our open area and use a generator, etc. _________________ John Brunsgaard

John ,
Thanks for the info . In reading some of the posts I ran across the one about the D/S ride and the question of big bike or small bike D/S and could not find the answer . Which would work the best , DR 650 , DR 350 or street legal WR 450 ?
Thanks , Matt |

I don't know jack about DS bikes, sorry. But it seemed like most of them that went last year were on more like DR650 type bikes. I don't think they did any real trails, just lots of dirt roads and maybe better logging roads. _________________ John Brunsgaard |

Here's a link to the list of known attendees, Chad. Quite a few GE's on there.

john, do you get a commission for every name that appears on that list? just asking cause several names appear more than once.
if that is the case, put me down a couple of times...

Thanks Chad. I'll have to comb through the list again.
It'd be great to see you and Pat there! Hope you guys make it down.
EDIT: It should be cleaned up now. And I put you on the attendees list. _________________ John Brunsgaard |
