The 14th Annual Wudi ride will be held around the 3/31-4/1, 2012 weekend this year. That is the weekend after the White Rock enduro, at White Rock Mountain.

So put it on your calendars, and see the website for details (link in my sig below) about where it will be held and what the deal is. This date should work well as many of the trails will be well ridden in!

Please let me know either here or in an email if you'll be attending. My email addy is in my sig. If we get enough folks and they want to do this, we can cater in a meal for Friday or Saturday night.

Here's a link to the Wudi XIV webpage.

John,
Is the white rock enduro the old style time keeping or the new polish hare scramble style ?

We are still holding timekeepers at White Rock. I brought it for discussion this year as 1 or 2 of the club members wanted to switch. But it was a pretty quick decision. The club still feels strongly about holding timekeepers.

Awesome ! I`ll try and make that . I like time keeping events way better, makes more of a game out of it , hate to see the traditional events disappear .
Thanks , Matt

No, Arkansas does not have any kind of permit for dirt bikes. So no worries there at all.

Went through most of the trails last weekend. Looking really good. They're doing some logging in the far south part of the area, so not sure if those trails will be open or not. But we should be in great shape otherwise.

We have access to an MX track about 5 miles from camp this year for the Wudi ride. It's $5 a head. You'd have to trailer over unless your bike is plated.

Weather has been great down here all winter, as I know it has been up there, too. Some of flowers are blooming, our tulips are just about to pop, trees are budding out. Mid-70's today. Hope it holds through the enduro and Wudi!

Yep, one loop. We have 3 courses down here. Super short (women, kids) is about 15 miles or so. Short course is about 50 miles. Long course is basically B, A (40 year old and below), AA and is another 15+ miles this year. So long course is close to 70 ground miles.

Short and long course run together for the first 50 miles. Then the short course is done (back at camp) but the long course guys go out a different direction from camp after that for the final loop (and it's a doozey, big fun).

So A and B go 70 and AA goes 85 ? And if you are over 40 you have to get out at 50 miles ???

No, sorry, I probably didn't say that right. And I was wrong about the Age. Cutoff is 50, not 40. A's and B's, A/B Seniors AND AA's all go out for the same last 15+ miles. They are all considered "long course" and they all ride the same course. But there are multiple classes so A's and B's under 50 can do the short course too. Like A Masters is short course, A Senior is long course.

Over 50's can ride the long course if they want. 2 options there. Either enter a younger class, like Senior, or just go ahead and ride it for fun/no score.

Here's a link to a thread that has the fliers for the event:

Thanks Jim ! Maybe they should have an old crippled guy class , I would fit right in there ! Evidently they figure the 50 plus guys are`nt able to do the long course , so I`ll have to sign up as Jack Benny ( old guy joke )

Actually, you'd be surprised how many pretty good under 50 year old A and B riders go to the Masters class on their own to avoid having to do the long course. I don't get it. I like getting all the miles I can. But they allow it here, and people take advantage of it.
