Talked to Larry Strangefeld the other day and He said the 6 mile loop was open at Neilsville , 11 mile loop NOT open and probably will never be .
BRF open and some short sections that were bad are out and new in . |

Went to Wheeler Mx park to ride GP track , NOT good , not maintained , ruts and NO bottom sugar sand . Left and went to BRF , bad mistake , one long rut 1 foot wide and 1 foot deep , PLUS the added bonus of jungle like weeds and tree limbs so bad could not see trail more than 5 feet ahead . I believe Midwest dirt biking is over , there is no where to go other than Thielman twice a year and look how that has changed in the last few years . Thanks AMA for all the help ! |

Midwest dirtbiking is transitioning into HS and Jday style GP courses like many other parts of the country. Some like, some not so much! |

The point I was trying to make there is no where to ride recreationally other than 2 five mile sections in SE Mn and 10 miles in central Wi . The days of the 100 mile loop enduros are long gone . We have virtually nothing left to ride since the DNR talked us into that stupid sticker program and lied to us , telling us that we would have all kinds of trails and what did we get ? An old abandoned iron ore mine 350 miles away , and with a whole whopping 5 miles of trail !!! 25 years of buying stickers and that all we have to show for it , REALLY ??? Then the district is wanting a 10 dollar fee for organized trail rides ??? What did they do to deserve to collect 10 bucks for ? Put it on the schedule ??? If they want 10 bucks they should have to do something for it , like help us get more and longer trail systems , not take the money and use it for the Motocross banquet .
It is about time that the off-road riders , D23 , and the clubs organize and either get our sticker money back or give us the land to ride on because they(the DNR) have plenty of State land ( our land ) that is not being used by anyone , but they refuse to re-designate it . |

Nemadji State forest has about 40 good miles of single track that is well maintained. Paul Bunyan state forest has 50+ miles of single track. Some sections get grown over in the summer. |
