Next week thursday will be July's 1st thursdays in mpls. at Dulanos pizza.
The event is a huge group of motorbike enthusiasts that hang out and gawk at each others scooters. 100's of bikes to check out. This could be a fun event for a GE road ride.
Standard proceedings include leaving Roch around 5p ride up, check out bikes (while enjoying pizza and energy drinks) for a few hours and then ride home.
It is the 3rd of july so not sure if many could go (with the holiday and all), but its pretty fun and it only comes 1x/month.

Does this happen every 1st Thursday of the month? I have to head to CA Thursday evening, July 3rd, for a wedding, but I am up for it in August if anyone plans on doing it then. I work in Apple Vally and have been riding the V-Max everyday that I can. So, I hope that a crew might make it next month and pick me up on the way.

No luck with the duck. There's an air leak(s) somewhere... It wont idle off choke, on choke it revs and appears to go lean and its s pop'n out the exhaust... I love 13 year old bikes. Have fun at 1st Thursday.

Not many interested in this function. At this time I am going and I believe marc H from cycle city is going. According to Marc, there are a few meeting at cycle city between 430-445. with a departure soon thereafter. I think he is calling as they depart and I will meet them on 52 entry at apache mall(16th st). May perhaps meeting Dan F (?) in cannon falls and Rob N somewhere as well, then headed up to the "joint". Likely will cross mendota bridge to get to 35 to get to lake street where Dulanos pizza is (West of 35 on lake street).
Not sure where others are located or where they are coming from, but we'll be up there around 630ish???

I'm going to ride over from work in Apple Valley, so I could meet the Rochester contingent somwhere on their route.

Do Harley riders attend this gathering or is this a sport bike only affair? If Harley's are welcome I would be interested in attending this Thursday.

Pretty much every thing from vintage, custom, choppers, sportbikes, cruisers, and any other category are in attendance. A nice collection with something for everyone. Eating there can be a long wait but people and bike watching is pretty good.

Last month there was a chopper with a 3 cyl Kubota turbo diesel powering it. Parked next to it was a home built, oversize mini-bike looking motorcycle running ATV tires front and rear and what looked to be hydraulic drive to both hubs. You'll see a little of everything.

I haven't been to this thing yet, but by the sounds of it, if it has 2 wheels and a motor, you might see it there.
