The Knobby Ridge riding area at Neilsville was started many years ago in ajoint venture with the GE`s and many central Wi off-road riders .
Ther is a 6 mile loop and a 11mile loop and may be riden together or seperatly . You dont want to go over when there has been alot of rain as there are some soggy spots
The Black River Falls area has a 6 mile loop on the north side and an 8 mile loop on the south side . And rumor has it the 8 mile loop is to be expanded to possibly 20 miles , but we will see .
The other two places I have not been to .

I rode Dyracuse about 2 years ago and it was sand, sand, and more sand. Motocross track was the best part, it wound through the woods and was pretty lengthy. Jumps were all step-ups, step-downs, or tabletops which is good because with the deep sand you couldn't carry much speed. More fun on a 450 than a 250F. There was a supercross track which was rock hard and hadn't seen much maintenance. The "trail" loop had been groomed with a bulldozer so it was really only good for a cooldown lap after riding the track.
Of course it could be changed by now, this was 2 years ago. |

Dyracuse is an awesome place to ride. And for $10, you can't beat it. There is alot of single track (dirt not sand) to ride, but you have to know where to find it. My son and I ride there pretty often. Send me an email in advance if you plan a trip up there. Maybe we can meet up and we can show you the trails. We will be riding most of the D16 HS this year so some weekends are spoken for. We will be at the Arkansaw HS on May 10 and at the GE trail ride both days.
Black Dodge Ram, WI plates, CRF250R and CRF250X.
Stop by and say hi.

Rich,

I haven't ridden dyracuse for quite some time.
How many miles of single track would you estimate there is there?
Last time i was there all i could find was the bulldozer trail nate spoke of.
I'm looing for some good single track to get ready for the D-23 opener this weekend.
let me know what you think.
maybe i'll even drive up there wed afteroon and ride?

If anyone is interested in riding at Dyracuse on Wednesday, 05/20 I will be there. they are open from 3:00 - 8:00. I would be happy to show trail to anyone that can make it. There should not be too many people there, so you pretty much have the place all to your self. I drive a black Dodge Ram, with two Hondas parked by it. |
