For anyone that is considering taking a course to learn how to ride a motorcycle, now is an excellent time to do so. The classes that are scheduled from now into this fall, are having trouble finding enough students to keep running them. Courses offered locally in Rochester, Winona, Red Wing, Dakota County-Rosemount, and Austin/Albert Lea. One evening and two 5 hour riding sessions on college parking lots with 250 cc motorcycles furnished by the State is how they are run. More details here: http://www.dps.state.mn.us/mmsc/latest/MMSChome.asp?cid=1 Most likely a smaller number of students in the class means more riding time, more instructor time per individual, and a better choice of bikes to ride. Successful completion if you already have a mc permit will result in your license endorsement for mc. The class is designed for anyone able to ride a bicycle. A good opportunity to try motorcycle riding if unsure if it's something you'd enjoy without buying one. |
